Each year, Awwwards recognizes the best website designs and web design agencies. This year, we were nominated for two prestigious awards: "Agency of the Year" and "Website of the Year." It's a momentous achievement that underscores our commitment to creativity, innovation, and delivering exceptional digital experiences. For the Website of the Year, we competed with the top 40 websites from 2023. It was a great honor to be on the list with top creative agencies and the best websites of 2023. When we received the news that we are the Website of the Year winner, we were all over the moon. And we want to thank everyone who voted for us.

Last year at Noomo, we made a pivot. We asked ourselves: What makes us different? What are we best at? What brings us the most excitement? And we changed our focus to creating immersive and interactive digital experiences. This award isn’t just recognition; it means much more to us. It shows that we are on the right track.

The journey behind our redesigned website.

Let's start with the heart of our recognition – our newly redesigned website. We believe that a website is more than just a digital presence; it's a canvas for creativity and a reflection of our identity as a design agency. This led us to embark on a journey to reimagine our online presence.

Our Design Director, Olha Uzhykova, summed it up perfectly: "Design for me is about solving problems and achieving goals across various projects and industries. It’s been a challenge to narrow our focus because our skills are versatile and applicable to many design solutions. However, we realized our forte lies in what we truly excel at. This led to a significant rebranding, focusing on interactive digital experiences and storytelling websites, helping brands stand out in a dynamic digital landscape."

Our website redesign aimed to balance an immersive, interactive digital experience with user-friendly navigation and performance. We experimented with various visual and layout concepts, ensuring they aligned with our core message and values.

A unique feature of our website is the upward scroll from the banner to the projects, a concept that initially raised concerns about user receptivity. However, user testing revealed that this unconventional approach enhanced engagement and memorability.

A brand rooted in culture.

The name "Noomo" itself is inspired by a Ukrainian phrase that means "Let's do it!" – reflecting our Ukrainian heritage and our adventurous spirit. Central to our brand identity are two key themes: pixels and glass. Pixels symbolize our digital prowess and pay homage to Ukrainian culture, akin to the intricate patterns of traditional Ukrainian vyshyvanka. Glass represents transparency, mirroring our commitment to clear communication and tailor-made client experiences.

Attention to details and personalization.

At Noomo, we believe that attention to detail sets us apart. Our dynamic logo incorporates handwritten elements from each team member, adding a personal touch to our brand. It's a testament to our dedication to human connections.

Innovation and technology.

As a creative web design agency we are always looking for new technologies and creative solutions. Innovation drives us, and technology empowers us. Our website features extensive 3D animations and interactions, crafted using the latest technologies. We use Nuxt 3 for both front-end and back-end development, leveraging Node.js functionalities. Key libraries like Three.js and GSAP enhance interactivity and visual appeal. Every interaction and hover has its unique purpose.
