Creating the immersive AI Factory for AMD

At Noomo, we partnered with AMD’s networking group to design an immersive 3D “AI Factory,” a digital environment where visitors could step inside a stylized data center and explore AMD technologies in a new way. The journey started with a logo reveal and smooth transition into the environment, where blinking lights, polished metals, and subtle sound design set the tone.

Within this factory, attendees could discover key products such as Solarflare™ (X2/X3 series), Pensando™ Pollara 400 AI NIC, and Pensando™ Salina 400 DPU, each seamlessly integrated into the narrative flow rather than presented as standalone pages.

Gamification elements like hidden signals, unlockable layers, and easter eggs, encouraged users to explore further, rewarding curiosity and turning the experience into a playful progression of discovery. This balance of storytelling, interaction, and surprise made even highly technical content approachable and engaging.

Engaging users through storytelling

The AI Factory followed a narrative arc of Discovery → Adventure → Transformation. Visitors began with curiosity as they entered the data center, transitioned into adventure as they navigated through product areas, and ended with transformation by unlocking hidden elements that revealed the broader impact of AMD’s solutions. Gamification tied this arc together — users could collect easter eggs, uncover hidden interactions, and “crack the code” of the factory, giving them both knowledge and a sense of accomplishment.

This layered design meant the experience worked for everyone: quick visits revealed the essentials, while those who stayed longer could dive into technical details and uncover rewards.

From Cisco Live to future events

The immersive AI Factory was first unveiled at Cisco Live, with plans to expand its presence across key industry. Its modular design ensures adaptability, whether the audience is developers, infrastructure specialists, or technology decision-makers.

The AI Factory not only introduced AMD’s networking group products in a new way but also created a blueprint for how technical content can be transformed into a memorable, interactive journey.

We worked with AMD’s networking group to create a 3D world where visitors explore a stylized data center and discover their technologies in new ways. The goal: make complex networking products approachable, reward curiosity, and spark deeper engagement through hidden easter eggs and playful gamification.

The experience needed to balance two worlds: presenting detailed technical content for engineers while remaining intuitive and visually compelling for broader audiences like analysts and key decision-makers. Our solution was a modular environment designed for scalability — allowing shallow exploration for quick booth visitors, or deeper dives for those seeking advanced insights.

Another challenge was to make the complexity of networking technology both understandable and exciting. We approached this by blending figurative cues (like racks, blinking lights, and flowing data streams) with abstract storytelling metaphors, helping users not only read about the products but feel how they work.

By combining 3D design, interactive storytelling, gamification, and a scalable architecture, Noomo helped AMD bring their networking solutions to life in a way that was both informative and engaging. The result was an experience that made complex technology approachable, rewarded exploration, and gave audiences a sense of discovery inside the world of AMD.
